The Danaj folk ensemble was established in 1959 in the Czech town of Straznice, on the border between the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Its activities are rooted in the rich folk traditions of the town, where
international folk festivals have been held since 1946. Strážnice is a town famous for its living folk culture. Typical folk costumes as well as seasonal traditions have been preserved there. Musical folk art is very
