How did your company start? (In what period, what is the idea and the reason for this kind of activity ...)
et's say that the original idea was to open a pub, but rather with the intention to offer special, new, non-commercial beers. Inspired by the brewery Brouwerij of Amsterdam, we knew and appreciated the idea and beers. While we found the pub, he came across a brochure talking about small beer production plants, and so, we finally got the idea.
Then we went into action and bought a small plant from 150L per cooking and positioned inside the bar, a real miniature Brewpub, all around 70 square meters !!
After a few months that we opened the pub, we realized that the production facility was completely inadequate, so we renovated a former carpenter who were in the adjoining courtyard to place the new field of brewing 500L.
The pub opens everyday, because the beer was not enough and we did not want to sell beer that was not handmade! Yet something was missing from our work, we had to learn all that is this "Crude Beer" and then in 1999 we organized for the first time in Cascina Monluè, historic site of Milan, the event "Virra Cruda" - "Raw Beer "celebration of handcrafted beer. The event lasted three days and it was very successful, with audience, drank for the first time 'Crude Beer', so we figured to began something big and new, and that will soon blossom.
How is your beer?
Water, barley malt, hops and yeast. These are the only ingredients that always uses the Brewery Lambrate. The are choosen with great care and attention, because only high quality raw materials and a bit of creativity, help to create a truly original product. Each of our beers is unique with its own taste and personality, and simple able to offer a taste experience which is always pleasant, and never excessive. Our love for beer and the desire to experiment leed us all these years to create new recipes, to discovering new shades and alchemy.
The Brewery Lambrate today
In 1996 when the Brewery Lambrate created the first beer, its members were 3, produced two beers with an installation of 150 liters and the pub open every day. Today its members are 5 plus a large staff, beers produced over 30 and installation is 20 hectoliters. Alessandra, Fabio, Paolo, Davide and Giampaolo: these names, each with its own mission, the administration, the kitchen, the pub and brewing beer.
